My Journey

Early Years

My story begins in Mumbai, though it could have started in Kuwait where my parents were based. Fate had other plans - the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait in 1990 brought my family back to Mumbai just before I was born. When stability returned, we moved back to Kuwait, where I completed my primary education at Carmel School, laying the foundation for my academic journey.

Education & Early Career

Returning to Mumbai marked the beginning of my professional path. I pursued higher education at KC College in Churchgate, while simultaneously working towards my chartered accountancy qualification from ICAI. My articleship at Agarwal Sanganeria and Co. proved to be an invaluable first step into professional life, teaching me lessons that still resonate today.

Professional Journey

Post qualification in 2013, I joined Deloitte's audit practice, marking my entry into the Big Four. A year later, an opportunity with EY Muscat beckoned. While financially rewarding, the role helped me understand what I didn't want from my career. This clarity led to a pivotal move - with support from the partners at EY Muscat, I transferred to EY Mumbai's financial services audit team, a period I remember with particular fondness.

UK Experience

In January 2020, I embarked on perhaps my most significant professional adventure - relocating to EY London. The timing was extraordinary, coinciding with the global pandemic. Navigating those initial two years of lockdown while adapting to a new country was a unique challenge that shaped both my professional and personal resilience.

Present & Future

The year 2024 marked a new chapter as I joined BDO audit as a senior manager. Here, I continue to grow and develop, embracing new challenges and opportunities. The role offers exciting prospects, and I'm optimistic about what lies ahead in my professional journey.
